01 · Back up before a big change
Before changing important world settings, software or plugins, protect your current progress. A customer-managed backup is something you create deliberately; it is not a promise of automatic backups.
02 · Use the official panel
Minecraft Free Beta includes one customer-managed backup in /manage. Open Console & backups in your real panel and follow the available backup controls. Wait for the operation to complete before making changes.
03 · Keep another copy offline
One backup slot is not an archive. Download a separate copy of important worlds and configurations and store it outside the hosting account. Label it with the date and server version.
04 · Restore carefully
Restoring an older backup can replace newer progress. Check which copy you are restoring, read the panel’s confirmation carefully, and warn your friends before proceeding.
